I wanted to see people’s reactions to the election results in the U.S. so I started to read Facebook posts this morning. I started to comment on individual posts, and then I realized it would take me hours to do this. So I decided to write my own post.

I was deeply saddened to see the results of the election for all the reasons that people voiced in their posts – fear about environmental policies that will not support the earth, loss of women’s rights, cutting funds for education so our children do not get the best education they deserve, and the list goes on.

I think many people are scared today. The world is changing so quickly and the changes are exponential. And when people are afraid they often turn to an authority figure who project the image of being a parental figure who says, “Trust me and follow me and I will keep you safe.”

Everyone reading this post knows that there is no human authority figure who can keep us safe. And since the beginning of history we have seen the destruction that occurs when people give their power away to other authority figures.

Then there is the part of the population, who during great time of challenge, realize that there is no authority that will provide safety. And that we must rise to the occasion and tap into our own creative gifts and stand strong in bringing forth positive change together.

Remember what you feed grows. Experience whatever feelings are coming up from the election results. But then stand up and deepen your spiritual work and join together with others who work spiritually in behalf of all of life and the planet. If you continue to feed the energies of fear and anger those will be the energies that flourish. Choose to plant seeds of love, light, and inspiration.

As I have written many times before when you perform spiritual work while being attached to the outcome you are following the path of ego and not spirit.

Unfortunately much of the collective has not received the wake up call yet as the collective trance is so deep. And so we are in for quite the ride. We need to do our work to continue to deepen and evolve on a personal level for this does effect the collective field of energy. We need to move to a place where we can hold the energy while challenging changes happen. We need to drop our divisive behavior and as a spiritual community learn about the power of cooperation and collaboration.

Stand up and do your work no matter what the outcome is. Be a vessel of love and radiate your light. This is not “woo woo” work. We are not denying what is happening in the world around us. But we are using spiritual practices to be a positive force of change. This is not the time to give up. This is a time to step up our work together.

Open up your strong eye (third eye) as the true shamans have done since the beginning of time and view what is happening through the eyes of spirit versus the eyes of ego.

There is so much more I feel in my heart of what I see through the eyes of spirit. But for now I will simply say keep up your work, find ways to feel peace inside that is not shaken by what is going on in the physical world, and inspire others to do the same.

The psyches and souls of women also have their own cycles and seasons of doing and solitude, running and staying, being involved and being removed, questing and resting, creating and incubating, being of the world and returning to the soul-place.

A Prayer

Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.

You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening.
