Ohja.

Rumi was left with an unspeakable emptiness, and a grief that he tried to fill with singing and dancing. It was at this time of longing that an endless cascade of poetry began to pour from Rumi’s lips.

Er gilt damit auch als Gründer des Ordens der tanzenden Derwische.

Schöne Geschichte jedenfalls, und auch so gut nachvollziehbar...

"When we hesitate in being direct, we unknowingly slip something on, some added layer of protection that keeps us from feeling the world, and often that thin covering is the beginning of a loneliness which, if not put down, diminishes our chances of joy.
It’s like wearing gloves every time we touch something, and then, forgetting we chose to put them on, we complain that nothing feels quite real. Our challenge each day is not to get dressed to face the world but to unglove ourselves so that the doorknob feels cold and the car handle feels wet and the kiss goodbye feels like the lips of another being, soft and unrepeatable.”

THE DANCE OF ALONENESS

We are all alone.

This is not depressing
when you realise
it's the truth.

We are born alone, we die alone.
Along the way, perhaps we meet.

Friends, lovers, strangers.
Husbands, wives, sons, daughters.
The roles can separate us as much as they can bind us.

We long for connection, yet we fear intimacy.
We seek contact, but we want to be safe.
We push others away by trying to hold onto them.
We hide our truth out of fear of loss.
Yet we lose each other in the hiding.

We seek solid ground, yet we know that it's all groundless.
We plan futures yet we know they are mere daydreams.
We long to be free yet we flee the terror of our freedom, seeking comfort and answers.

Our comfort soon turns to boredom.
Our boredom to resentment.
We suffer until we learn to love ourselves as we are.
We seek love until we know it in the silence.

And let the questions burn.
And sacrifice tomorrows for todays.

EVIL IS LIVE, BACKWARDS

"One Tibetan monk... who had spent more than 18 years in a Chinese prison labour camp... told me that on a few occasions he really faced some danger. So I asked him, 'What danger? What kind of danger?', thinking he would tell me of Chinese torture and prison. He replied, 'Many times I was in danger of losing compassion for the Chinese.'"
- The Dalai Lama

Contrary to popular superstition, there are no 'evil' people in this world, only those who are absolutely certain that their vision and version of reality is singularly correct, and who are totally unwilling to open up to possibility, to meet others in vulnerable intimacy and joyful, courageous doubt.

'Evil' is simply tunnel vision, a painful constriction and rejection of the flowing wholeness of life, a forgetting of our true nature as vastness and capacity and the total absence of a separate and solid 'person'. It is a fearful holding-on to stories and opinions rather than a expansive letting-go into the liberated ocean of consciousness.

There are no 'evil people' in this world, only those who secretly live in fear of life and who act out of that fear.

EVIL is simply LIVE, backwards. Backwards living.

This recognition is the basis for great compassion for those who we rush to judge and label as 'evil'.

Challenges on the cusp of your success aren’t always "self-sabotage". Sometimes it’s a cosmic call to arms, an opportunity to prove your devotion. An initiation that can come in the form of back attacks, derailed plans, shocking political upsets.

Getting tackled by the other team doesn’t necessarily mean you're weak or that you made a wrong move. It means you’re in the game, not on the sidelines. If you’re playing full on, you’re going to take some hits. Take it like the light warrior that you are. Rely on your team. And get back up and run farther, even faster.
